SUPERVISING AND MONITORING ENERGY
The ISO50001 energy certification was followed by the operative control part. The Company has established its own energy performance indexes, among which the efficiency of the photovoltaic system, the specific electrical consumptions of its presses, the specific gas consumptions for the preheating and heat treatment furnaces and the electrical consumptions for generating compressed air. These indexes are monitored in real time, thanks to a supervising network consisting of detection systems that transfer the parameters detected to a central software. This allows to understand and to quickly intervene in case of unjustified energy costs, fully aware that respecting the environment also involves a conscious use of energy.

CLEANING THE COMPONENTS OF THE MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS IN FULL RESPECT OF THE ENVIRONMENT
Everyone knows that the mechanical maintenance activities often require the cleaning of small components and parts, such as gears, bearings, pins, filters, etc. The cleaning operations often rely on diluents and degreasing products which subsequently lead to dispersion issues and which complicate the recovery of washing residues. Forge Federica has recently adopted an opportunity suggested by the market, a hermetically sealed machine inside which the operator introduces the pieces to be cleaned while safely handling the operation from the outside and using gloves. The washing liquid is heated and circulates inside the machine, in which the drying also occurs at the end of the cycle, using compressed air. The liquid is periodically replaced and disposed of as a special waste to be regenerated. All of this has eliminated the useless and dangerous dispersions of vapours and liquids within the environment.

MAY 1, 2019, FORGE FEDRIGA OPENS THE DOORS TO THE FAMILIES OF ITS EMPLOYEES
May 1, 2019, was a special celebration for Forge Fedriga’s employees, an occasion which marked the Company’s first “open day” for all the family members of its employees. The day was organized to celebrate and share the “work” theme as the essential growth requirement of an evolved society. The guests were able to follow an interesting forging lesson and demonstration directly at the production departments. The Management also awarded employees with 25 to 35 years of seniority on the occasion. The moment during which the workers thanked the three Founding Members of Forge Fedriga, who received a sculpture composed of forging symbols, was also very special and significant.
