FORGE FEDRIGA GREEN MAGAZINE N.3

With this third issue of Forge Fedriga’s Green Magazine continues the environment-related communication undertaken towards our stakeholders.

WATER DRAINING IN STREAM
In late May 2014 a new water drain was channeled into nearby Oglio river, upon notice to Local Authorities. As of that date, quarterly water sampling is being carried out as required in order to assure compliance of chemical analysis limits with the law.
Results showed full compliance to legal requirements.

FORGE FEDRIGA ENGAGED IN SAVING ENERGY RESOURCES
In December 2014 a renovation project of lighting system was started up in our production departments of Cividate Camuno main site, using LED (Light Emitting Diode) lamp technology. As is known, this lighting technology, combined with the recent performance achieved by industrial lamps currently available on the market, will allow considerable savings for about 40% of current lighting system consumption.
During 2014, the production of electricity resulting from the PV installed on the roofs of our main production site in Cividate Camuno (195 kW power), is slightly down compared to 2013 (-5.6%). The main reason of said reduction clearly is the abnormal local rainfall records of past summer.

PLAN "FORGE 2"
During September, with the cooperation of ARPA (Regional Agency for Environment Protection)”) sound level and vibration measurements were carried out in our Company during normal forging activities. The same operation was achieved in every forging company in the area.
The outcome currently are under evaluation and will be presented to supervising authorities.
